Our mission is to collaborate with local municipalities and community groups to find homes for abandoned and neglected pets, alleviating the overcrowding in our shelters. We are a foster-based rescue, providing love, shelter, food, and medical care, including microchipping and spay/neuter services, for the animals in our care.

Harley came to us via a call from a vets office Friday, June 5th, 2026. He was in critical condition, he needed emergency surgery and the family could not afford treatment.
We immediately made arrangements with Callaghan Rd. Animal Hospital for emergency surgery and the owner rushed him to the hospital. Harley is now in the care and custody of
Trails End Animal Rescue.
He has bladder stones lodged in his urethra, he has been unable to empty his bladder for an unknown amount of time and is in danger of liver and/or kidney failure.
He will need a restorative foster home to help him in his recovery.
We pay for all expenses including vet visits, medications, special diet, transportation costs to vet if out of our area.

Trail’s End is a registered 501c3 animal welfare organization and a welcoming place for all kinds of critters in need. We work with local municipalities and groups to find homes for abandoned or neglected pets and help ease the overcrowding of our shelters. We are a foster based rescue so all our dogs are housed in private homes.
We provide love, shelter, food, and medical care including microchipping and spay neuter access for our fosters. Adoption of our animals requires an approved application and an adoption fee, which varies depending on the pet and funds the care of the animals in our organization. The stray and abandoned population here in central Texas is overwhelming, with every shelter bursting at the seams. Trails End Animal Rescue is no different. Pete and Kerrie try to do their part in providing shelter, food and medical care for as many animals as possible, but they never stop coming. Here you will find animals currently for adoption at our rescue. You can also donate to our 501c3 Nonprofit.
We have indoor and outdoor shelters for all the many animals who come our way. Sometime we even have to build them on the fly! We make sure every animal is safe, secure and get plenty of healthy exercise and fresh air. Many times, animals come to us emaciated, sick or injured. We make sure they all get nutritious (home made) food, vet care and vaccinations.
We are always in need of cages, kennels, leashes and collars, toys food and blankets. you can always email us if you have something to share with the animals!
